BIG NFA NEWS.
THE CHOICE IS YOURS.
New ATF enforcement guidance affects transfers of eligible suppressors, short-barreled rifles (SBRs), short-barreled shotguns (SBSs), and certain other NFA items.
Diamond K Armory is offering two transfer options for eligible items, subject to applicable laws and store policies.
VIEW TRANSFER FEESUnderstanding the New ATF Guidance
Under ATF's October 9, 2026 enforcement policy, certain federal NFA approval and registration requirements are not currently being enforced for covered items.
This is an exercise of enforcement discretion, not a repeal of the underlying law. Federal Gun Control Act requirements, including applicable background checks, Form 4473, and dealer recordkeeping, still apply.
Machine guns and destructive devices remain subject to existing NFA requirements.
The Choice Is Yours!
We do not recommend one option over the other. We believe customers deserve the information to make their own decisions.
Standard Form 4473
Complete your eligible transfer using ATF Form 4473, including applicable background check and dealer procedures.
In-store pickup only. This option is available for eligible NFA items picked up at Diamond K Armory.
Customers must review and sign a written acknowledgment regarding the current guidance and possible future legal consequences.
Voluntary NFA Form 4
Customers who prefer the traditional NFA registration process may choose voluntary Form 4 submission for eligible items.
Transfer Fees
Auction pricing applies ONLY to auction purchases.
Auction Purchases Only
Standard Transfers (Non-Auction)
Other applicable charges, such as shipping or taxes, may be additional.
In-Store Pickup vs. Shipping
Picking Up In Store?
Our Form 4473-only option for eligible NFA items is available for in-store pickup only at Diamond K Armory in Hillsboro, Texas.
Applicable paperwork, background checks, and our written acknowledgment are required.
Having Your Item Shipped?
Verify your receiving FFL's policies BEFORE purchasing or arranging shipment.
Each receiving dealer determines which transfer procedures it is offering. Diamond K Armory cannot dictate another FFL's policies or guarantee acceptance of a transfer without traditional NFA paperwork.
Your Choice Today.
Your Future Matters, Too.
We're excited to offer customers options, but we also believe in being upfront about potential future legal implications.
Laws, court rulings, and enforcement policies can change. We cannot guarantee that transferring an eligible NFA item without registration will be free from future legal repercussions.
A signed acknowledgment does not eliminate legal liability or guarantee future legal protection.
That's why we're continuing to offer voluntary Form 4 submissions—not because we prefer one route, but because we care about our customers long after they leave our store.
NO PRESSURE. NO PREFERENCE. YOUR CHOICE!
Common Questions
Can I still choose a voluntary Form 4?
Yes. Diamond K Armory will continue offering voluntary Form 4 submissions for eligible items.
Can I use the Form 4473-only option for a shipped item?
No. Our Form 4473-only transfer option for eligible NFA items is available for in-store pickup only. Customers requesting shipment must verify requirements with their receiving FFL.
Why is a written acknowledgment required?
We want customers to understand that enforcement policies may change and that transferring an item without registration may carry future legal consequences. Signing does not guarantee legal protection.
Are auction transfer fees available for all purchases?
No. Auction rates are $15 for Form 4473 and $25 for Form 4. Standard non-auction rates are $25 for Form 4473 and $50 for Form 4.
Does this guidance eliminate all NFA restrictions?
No. Applicable federal, state, and local laws remain in effect. Machine guns and destructive devices are not covered by this enforcement change.
