How the Transfer Process Works
Submitting your information in advance helps us match your firearm to you and complete the transfer process efficiently.
Make Your Purchase
Complete your firearm purchase online or through another seller and list Diamond K Armory as the receiving FFL dealer.
Submit the Form
Complete the transfer form below, even if the seller already has our FFL information on file. Missing information may delay the process.
Wait for Our Call
We will inspect, document, and process the firearm after delivery. We will contact you when it is ready for pickup.
We’ll Handle the Details
After receiving the required information, we will contact the seller or transferring dealer on your behalf and provide the necessary FFL information.
If requested, we may provide a copy of the email correspondence for your records with protected FFL information redacted.
Please complete the transfer form even when Diamond K Armory is already on file with the seller. This helps reduce the chance of missing paperwork, incorrect customer information, or an unidentified firearm arriving in the shipment.
Before the Firearm Ships
Make sure Diamond K Armory is listed as the receiving FFL dealer when completing your purchase.
- Provide complete customer and seller information.
- Include the seller’s order number when available.
- Submit tracking information when available.
- Verify that the seller includes the required documentation.
- Contact us before shipping if you have questions.

If tracking shows that your firearm has been delivered or signed for, please do not immediately call or arrive at the shop to pick it up.
Delivery confirmation does not mean the firearm is ready for transfer. Each shipment must be opened, inspected, matched to the seller’s paperwork, entered into our required records, and processed in the order received.
Please allow up to 48 business hours after delivery for processing. We will contact you as soon as your firearm is ready.
Transfer Guidelines & Store Policies
Please review the following requirements before visiting Diamond K Armory to complete your transfer.
Processing Requirements
After the firearm arrives, our team will inspect the shipment, verify that the firearm and serial number match the accompanying paperwork, and enter the firearm into our required acquisition records.
The firearm cannot be released until our receiving and compliance procedures have been completed.
Identification Requirements
You must present a valid, unexpired government-issued photo ID displaying your current residential address.
Acceptable documentation may include a Texas driver license, Texas identification card, Texas License to Carry, or other qualifying government-issued documents permitted under applicable law.
If your current residential address does not match your photo ID, additional government-issued documentation may be required.
Non-U.S. Citizens
Non-U.S. citizens may be required to provide additional immigration, residency, or eligibility documentation before a firearm transfer can be completed.
Please bring all applicable documents with you. Contact Diamond K Armory before visiting if you are unsure which documents may be required.
We cannot complete the transfer without all legally required documentation.
Pickup & Storage Policy
After we call or leave a voicemail notifying you that your firearm is ready, you will have seven calendar days to complete the transfer and pick it up.
- Days 1 through 7: No storage charge
- Beginning on Day 8: $50 per week storage fee
- Storage fees continue until the firearm is picked up or another arrangement is approved
Firearms left for more than 28 days after notification, without approved arrangements or meaningful communication, may be treated as abandoned and handled as permitted by applicable law.

Transfer cutoff: 5:45 PM
Please arrive no later than 15 minutes before closing to begin your transfer paperwork. Customers arriving after the cutoff will need to return during the next available business day.
Transfer Fees & Background Checks
The applicable FFL transfer fee is charged per firearm and is due when the required transfer paperwork and background-check process are submitted.
- Transfer fees are charged per firearm.
- Transfer fees remain due if a background check is delayed.
- Transfer fees are non-refundable if a background check is denied.
- The customer is responsible for return shipping or other costs resulting from a denied or canceled transfer.
If the background check is delayed, the firearm will remain with Diamond K Armory until it may legally be transferred or another lawful resolution is completed.
Denied or Uncompleted Transfers
If a transfer cannot be completed, the customer must work with the original seller and Diamond K Armory to arrange an approved return or other lawful disposition.
The customer is responsible for applicable transfer fees, storage fees, return shipping charges, and any other expenses related to resolving the firearm’s disposition.
Firearms may not be released to a prohibited person or transferred in violation of federal, state, or local law.
Diamond K Armory reserves the right to decline a transfer or refuse service when necessary for safety, compliance, suspected fraud, incomplete documentation, or other lawful business reasons.
